SEPHORA + ETUDE HOUSE HAUL

When I went Singapore a few months ago, two shops that were at the top of my list to visit were Sephora and Etude House. I am still absolutely devastated that we don’t have a Sephora here in the UK, so I got way too excited when I finally got to go to a store. I had even made a list of the things that I wanted to buy so that I didn’t miss anything out!

The first thing I picked up was the Two Faced Sweet Peach palette after hearing all of the hype about them. It is true that the palette really does smell like peaches, which is fun! The colours are beautiful, and so pigmented. Unlike a lot of the palettes that I own, I think I would actually use the majority of these shades, which really reassured me when I had to justify spending around £40 on eyeshadow! There is also a really good mix of matte and shimmery shades which is rare and when I was writing this post I tried to pick a couple of favourite but I love them all too much to pick!

The next thing I got was the Urban Decay Naked Skin concealer. I’d heard so many good things about this concealer so decided I had to try it. I was a bit more tanned at the time than I am now, so sadly the shade is a bit too dark for me at the moment, but the concealer itself is amazing. The applicator is a different to other concealers that I have, it is longer and slightly more flexible, which I find really useful when applying the concealer. The consistency of the concealer is fab – it has amazing coverage for both blemishes and under the eyes.

I also bought the Kat Von D liquid lipstick in the shade Lolita II. After swatching it on my hand and seeing it dry almost instantly, then not budging one bit when I tried to rub it off, I knew I had to buy it. It has amazing wear and I love the shade as well.

The last thing I bought from Sephora was the Becca Champagne Pop highlighter. This is honestly the best highlighter I have come across. It is so pigmented and an amazing shade. I am so hesitant to wear it because at £32 it was quite pricey for me, but I can’t resist putting it on!

In Etude House, the one thing I was determined to buy was sheet masks. They sell them in the UK, but I’m not prepared to pay £5 for one mask, so I was sooo happy to find them being sold in Etude House for under a pound each. I picked up quite a few and have only used one so far, but it really makes my skin feel so hydrated and soft!

I also picked up a Green Tea Bubble Tea Sleeping mask. This was more of an impulse buy but it just looked so cool that I couldn’t resist buying it. I am yet to try it out but having looked up the reviews it seems to be quite popular. I think that you are supposed to pop one of the bubbles and mix it with the rest of the mask and put it onto your face before bed. I can’t wait to use it!

I hope you enjoyed this post! I had so much fun shopping for these bits in Singapore, and if how much I spent on these is anything to go buy, I think that my bank account is quite glad that we don’t have a Sephora in the UK!

What’s your favourite makeup product at the moment?

  2. I can’t believe there still isn’t a Sephora here in the UK! Although you’re right about one thing: I would end up spending all my money there as well. Anyway, I hope you had a great time in Singapore, and I’d love to know how the bubble tea mask turns out, it may have been an impulse buy, but it was an amazing choice – it looks so cool. x
