I’ve seen a lot of these posts floating about recently and since I’ve loved reading them, I thought that I’d write one of my own! It seems like a really good way to track my progress and keep myself accountable. I’ve had my blog for about a week now and I’m so happy with the progress that I’ve made so far, so if it continues like this then I’ll be sooo pleased! Here are the goals that I want to reach by the end of October:

Reach 600 followers on Twitter

I feel like this one might be a bit ambitious, but I’ve had my Twitter account for just over a week and I’ve already managed to reach over 400 followers, so another 200 in the rest of August shouldn’t be too hard (right?). At the moment, Twitter is my main form of promoting my blog and interacting with other bloggers, so it would be fab to have 200 more of you to connect with!

Reach 100 followers on Instagram

I’ve only just made my insta account, and I’m finding it hard to have things to post (especially because my life isn’t particularly exciting), but I would like to spend some time posting and growing my following on Instagram.

Get my own domain

I’ve been toying with the idea of getting my own domain for a while now. When I asked my followers on Twitter whether I should, I was met with a resounding ‘yes’, and I think I agree. Blogs with domains seem so much more professional, from what I can see they’re easier to customise and I think it will be easier to work with brands/get affiliate links if I have my own domain. Plus, if I’m paying for it I’ll be extra motivated to keep up with my blog!!

Set up a schedule + get organised

During the summer holidays when I have no concrete plans or responsibilities, its fine to just write whatever I want, whenever I want, but when I start university in October I don’t think I’ll be able to carry that on (sadly). I think it’d probably be a good idea to get in the habit of posting on set days and planning my posts in advance now. That way I won’t waste time thinking about what I’m going to be writing about and trying to find the time to do it!

Reach 50 followers on bloglovin’

I’m not gonna lie, bloglovin’ confuses me. Most things in blogging confuse me, but I really don’t understand why there’s a whole other website that we have to use to follow blogs, but maybe that’s just me being stupid! As I write this, I have 20 followers on bloglovin’, and I’d love to grow this a bit!

Improve my blog traffic

I think that if I start posting regularly and efficiently, my blog traffic will improve. Since one of my huge personal goals is to be able to work with brands, I really want to increase the traffic coming to my blog to make it more likely that brands will want to work with me!

I hope you enjoyed reading this post, and that maybe it got you thinking about what you’d like to achieve this month. Make sure you comment and let me know what one of your goals for August is!

  2. Wow girl you go! Four hundred twitter followers in that span of time is AWESOME, good for you! I agree, I want to get 50 Bloglovin followers too, as well as get into a more routine schedule, I post 2-3 times a week, but it’s always on different days which I feel could be bad? I don’t know! Love this post girl and good luck with your goals!

  5. Great targets for the month – if you have gained so many followers in such a short period I’m sure you’ll hit all of these and more by the end of August! Good luck!

    1. Thank you! I think participating in blogger chats on twitter gained me a lot of followers, and people do blogger follow chains which is also helpful! Most of my blog traffic comes from Twitter so I think it would be useful for you!! x

  9. I enjoyed reading this post, thank you for sharing. I would recommend getting your own domain. I toyed with it for a while but must admit I’ve not looked back. I would like to get 20 followers on my WordPress blog and over 300 followers on my Instagram account. 9 more to go on insta but I’ve only had my blog for 2 weeks so I’m slowing getting used to it. Good luck with achieving your goals. 🙂
